In the past Dan Ogden, owner of DB Electrical Services, struggled to effectively manage high volumes of orders from suppliers. This then affected his ability to effectively manage projects by making it difficult for him to organise and assign resources to them.
Meet Michelle. She and her husband have had multiple businesses over the years. Their two current businesses are housed under the one roof. One of which, ABC Embroidery, is running on simPRO. It’s a small operation that may otherwise be deemed too small for a beast like simPRO Enterprise but Michelle has found the software to be a perfect fit for her workflow.
Lindsay Coulter began his journey as an electrician. After years in the trade, Lindsay decided he was ready for his next challenge and, in 1983, launched his own security business in Timaru, New Zealand: Allied Alarms.
The company, which specialises in a wide range of security-related services, is now one of the longest running security firms in the country.
Now, directors Lindsay and his brother Peter lead a team of 16.
Remember our friend Adam Bell?
Before simPRO he was getting into the office at 5:30am to dish out job cards to his field staff. Next thing we know, once simPRO is up and running, he’s rolling in at 7:30 on his pushbike. The pushbike led to a run, a swim, then next thing we know he’s a triathlete!
Too much work is always a nice problem to have but having no-one to do the work isn't exactly what you want at a time when you could be making hay while the sun is shining.
This Journey is somewhat special for us here at simPRO. Andrew and Prue of Mr A Electrics joined us wayyy back in 2002. In fact, they were the fourth company to begin using Enterprise (back before it was even known by that name). So while we were busy building software to systemise business processes, they were busy systemising.
