simPRO Software is committed to maintaining a safe work environment free of all forms of violence, including verbal and physical threats. The Company has a zero tolerance policy with respect to all forms of violence in the workplace. It is our firm belief that a safe and secure work environment free from violence is fundamental to all employees, customers, contractors, guests or members of the public.
simPRO Software will not tolerate or condone any forms of threats or violence committed by or against simPRO Software employees, contractors, customers/clients, suppliers, or visitors on simPRO Software premises or through simPRO Software communications equipment, nor does simPRO Software tolerate or condone any forms of threats or violence by or against simPRO Software employees while engaged in business on behalf of simPRO Software.
The following list of behaviors, while not inclusive, provides examples of conduct that is prohibited:
- Threatening, intimidating, bullying, or physically/verbally abusing another person.
- Aggressive or hostile behaviour that creates a reasonable fear of injury to another person.
- Causing physical injury to another person.
- Possession of a weapon while on Company property or while on simPRO Software business.
- Fighting, hitting, biting, kicking, pushing, shoving or spitting at another person.
- Intentionally damaging Company property, property of another Employee or property of a Client.
- Committing acts motivated by, or related to, domestic violence on simPRO Software premises.
- Bothering someone by following or with an excessive number of unwelcome visits, calls, pages, faxes, emails, letters, or gifts.
- Lewd behavior or obscene phone calls, pages, faxes, emails, letters, gifts, or graffiti.
- Offensive language, rudeness or derogatory remarks.
Where simPRO staff are exposed to a breach of this policy or where they feel their rights under this policy are in breach they are asked to:
Transfer the call or dealings with the other party to a supervisor or manager.
OR
Discontinue the call or dealings and report the event to a supervisor to follow up on.
Anyone who has experienced, witnessed or has knowledge of any prohibited conduct under this policy must report the incident at once to the simPRO Software Client Services and Human Resources Managers where the matter will be documented and investigated.
